The Grand Prix System explained: Prize winners will receive Grand Prix points according to their ranking in the Tournament. The number of Grand Prix points is mentioned in the Prospectus of the corresponding event. The ICA Blitz Chess Marathon awards you with twice the number of Grand Prix Points which you would earn in the other four events of Festival Caissa. Any player scoring 400 Grand Prix Points in Festival Caissa will be awarded a bonus Rs 1 lac. We have 100 Grand Prix Points in all the FIDE Rating Events of Festival Caissa for the Winner, Best Unrated Player, Best Below 1900 Rated Player, Best Below 1600 Rated Player, Best female player and Best Veteran as well.

The top 40 players with the highest Grand Prix points accumulated across the four FIDE-rated Festival events (and the Blitz Marathon) will qualify for the Grand Prix Finals — a 7-round Swiss Blitz tournament with a time control of 3 minutes plus a 2-second increment. The Finals will be held on January 26, 2026, at 6:45 PM. The total prize fund for the Grand Prix Finals is Rs 1 lac. Prizes are: Rs 30,000 (1st place), Rs 25,000 (2nd place), Rs 20,000 (3rd place), Rs 15,000 (4th place) and Rs 10,000 (5th place).

Innovators Chess Academy starts a new Chess Coaching Batch from May 1, 2025 for Beginners.

Dates: May 1 to May 30, 2025. Time: 8.30 am to 9.30 am – on week days (Monday to Friday). Training will be provided in online mode. Fees is Rs 3,000/- per month.

Kindly note that our regular schedule includes sessions twice a week with a fee of ₹3,000. However, for the month of May, we will be offering sessions five days a week at no additional cost.

Children who know to move the pieces can join this batch.

From June, the timings will be Fridays at 7 pm and Sundays at 730 am.

Recordings will be provided for any missed sessions.

Dates: April 1 to May 30, 2025. Time: 8.30 am to 9.30 am – on week days (Monday to Friday). Training will be provided in online mode during Summer.

Children who know to move the pieces can join this batch.

Post Summer, from June, Children have the option to attend in either offline or online modes. It is important to note that during April and May, we are providing 5 sessions instead of 2 without any additional fee.

Address for Offline sessions: 579, 1A, 15th B Main, 14th Cross, Sector 4, HSR Layout, Bangalore 560102. Fees is Rs 3000 per month.

Recordings will be provided for any missed sessions. The first batch will accommodate up to 25 students. If registrations exceed this limit, an additional batch will be created with a different time slot. Early registration is recommended. It is therefore recommended to register early.

Children will be trained by FIDE Instructor Sushruta Reddy who brings in a teaching experience of 19 years. He teaches Chess at The International School Bangalore (TISB), National Public School (HSR), National Public School (Koramangala), Sri Aurobindo Memorial School and Silicon City Academy of Secondary Education.

From June onwards, regular sessions will be twice a week with a monthly fee of Rs 3000. Timings: Fridays at 6 pm and Saturdays at 7 pm.
